Ideas for Magic Wanda Workshops
The following PDFs have a wealth of ideas for you to use for Magic Wanda workshops.
Schools and nurseries across the British Isles have been taking part in exciting, reading sessions and sculpture workshops for 3 – 7 year olds, arranged by publishers, Magic Wanda Media.
Magic Wanda and the Sculptor is the first in this interactive series featuring a cast of appealing dragons who live on Nimbi Island , the place where forgotten dreams go to. The dragons learn a new craft on their adventures whilst returning the forgotten dreams to Peopleland.
Magic Wanda and the Sculptor is being used to springboard events run by teachers, parents and artists alike.

Feedback from teachers
Just to let you know that we have begun the book activities today! We read and discussed the book this morning with the children and watched the DVD this afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the Karaoke!!
The children have started to make some sketches of the characters from the story and have been making models of them in the playdough and lego. They have really enjoyed the book and activities today and are very excited about making sand sculptures tomorrow and the rest of this week. I also have some children who are keen writers and they are very keen to write a little bit about the characters. They have all enjoyed talking about dreams they have had and what might have popped out of the dream volcano, featured in the Magic Wanda story, while they were asleep last night!
We are making a display of the work we are doing with the book in our class. Thank you so much again for giving us the opportunity to take part in these activities. They are fitting in so well with our sculpture topic.

Magic Wanda casts its spellBritish author Renée Edwards' new Magic Wanda series is the answer to every parent or teacher's prayer. Because it is a tool that challenges and liberates a child's imagination creatively. Targeted at the 3 to 7 age group, it encourages young minds to wander, to leap, to lap at the realms of fantasy and new skills.
The Magic Wanda series is easy to use in playgroups, nursery schools, and English teaching classes. For Magic Wanda and her young dragon friends ~ Richie, Baz and Nubinu ~ introduce child readers to unusual experiences. Such as creating a giant sun sculpture on Nimbi. Or even a garden for dragons to play in. Or a virtual visit to the Barbara Hepworth Museum of sculpture.
Magic Wanda will answer more than adult prayers. As child readers ask to share more adventures. As teachers celebrate an innovative communication tool. As parents and guardians find an unusually accessible route into the child's world, both imaginary and real.
